CWA Local President Speaks at TFWA Conference

On Thursday, July 27, CWA Local 2107 President and Maryland's CWA State AFL-CIO President Shannon Opfer spoke about the Tax Fairness for Workers Act being introduced. She joined members of Congress, including PA Congressman Brendan Boyle, in front of the Capitol in D.C. The Act would allow workers to write off work expenses and union dues on the tax return.

In Maryland, labor unions worked together under the AFL-CIO and were successful in getting union dues deductions back to being allowed to claim on their state tax returns.
