Organizing Update: MX1 Workers in Hawley, PA

On December 20, 2018, CWA Local 13000 Organizer Joe Smolczynski reported:

30 workers at MX1,a digital media communications company located in Hawley, PA have voted in a NLRB supervised election to be represented by CWA Local 13000. These workers have endured stagnant wages that are below industry standards and an aggressive discipline centered management style for too long.

Workers here take pride in their job and servicing customers, but a 50 plus hour normal work week makes it tough to balance family time. They stood strong together in their fight for respect and a voice on the job and a better tomorrow. We are proud to welcome them to our family and will support them in seeking their first contract.
