American Red Cross (NEPA Region) Bargaining Report: June 22, 2010
Contract talks resumed June 22 and the parties conducted two sessions during the day and early evening. The Union reviewed its agenda with the Company offering suggestions on reaching agreement and refocusing the talks on issues important to our membership.
Although some progress was made resulting in Tentative Agreement in the area of "PTO Day at a time Scheduling" and "Union Orientation", the main sticking points remain Health Care and Wages and wage related proposals.
The parties have agreed to meet again on Monday, July 12. In addition we have agreed to keep Tuesday, July 13 open should progress warrant.
Despite the obvious concerted resistance being put forth by the American Red Cross, both here as well as around the country, your bargaining team remains committed to negotiating a fair contract and reminding the company;
"This place works because we do!"
