Verizon Local 13000 Bargaining Report # 2

The Union spent most of the day reviewing the company proposals in order to get a better understanding of the need to make such drastic changes in the Local’s current collective bargaining agreement. Our bargaining team feels that in order to fully understand why the company could pass such retrogressive demands then they must also provide documentation to support their demands. The union presented several information requests across the table today to see if there is supporting documentation or if this is just the company’s attempt to erode the bargaining unit. Your bargaining team will not allow this company to take away the things we have fought so hard to protect and we will continue make the company explain their reasons for placing these demands across the table. Clearly the fight is on at the bargaining table as well as in the work locations all across the state. In order to be victorious we need to score a TKO.
