John Paugh and Jennifer Henderson are attending the WV State Council Meeting today in Clarksburg. Our PAF/COPE drive has been moved to June! None of our members dues can be used for political action. All political contributions are voluntary given to political campaigns.

Good afternoon, Local Presidents and Staff.

On behalf of the Bargaining Committee, we are pleased to report that CWA members at Frontier Communications in West Virginia and Ashburn, Va. have voted to ratify the 4-year agreement that the bargaining team reached last month.

Tidbits from tonight’s meeting:

A motion was passed to pay mileage to and from picket duty locations during strike. (Notify an officer to receive)

A motion was passed to start a strike committee to start the process in setting up a 2010 local strike fund.

Jennifer Henderson, Greg Stevens, & Chris Waldron makes up the committee.

A motion was passed to have officers do moving quarterly shop meetings at each location around the local.

The TA contract vote was taken. Our local passed the TA.

Any questions please contact John Paugh or Jennifer Henderson. We will be mailing out copies of the tentative agreement. A town hall call (with Q & A) will happen next week, more information to come. There will be discussion at our meeting on 4/10/18 6:30 pm at 8 N. Spring Street Buckhannon, WV before we vote on the contract. Votes must be made in person on 4/10/18.

CWA/Frontier Final Bargaining Report

First and foremost – Outstanding job to every CWA member who stood strong in West Virginia and Virginia.

The Tentative Agreement Summary is being printed for distribution. Local Officers will attend a meeting tomorrow to be covered on the Tentative Agreement. After this meeting your Local will begin the preparation to hold the ratification vote.

Keeping everyone in the loop:

There will be a contract explanation meeting for the executive board members in Charleston tomorrow from 11:30-1:00 p.m. to cover the new contract with the locals. A email will go out after that. Members will then vote YES or NO on the new contract. More information to come.
