Dec. 2020-Jan. 2021 Bargaining Round-Up

AT&T Mobility (“Orange” Contract)

CWA and AT&T have agreed to extend the “orange” contract that includes technicians, call center customer support workers and representatives at AT&T's retail stores in District 2-13. Read more about the extension agreement.

AVAYA

On December 30, 2020, CWA agreed to extend the AVAYA contract. Originally set to expire in June 2021, the contract has been extended to June 24, 2023. Read CWA's T&T update, which includes information about contract modifications.

Comcast Alle-Kiske

The CWA Local 13000 Bargaining Team and reported: “The Union bargaining committee met over the phone with the company today, January 25, 2021. We made a number of proposals designed to improve working conditions and stopping company attacks on your CBA. The company had nothing to offer at the table today. We are scheduled to resume bargaining on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. We will not stop until we have a fair contract.”

Comcast South Hills

The Local 13000 Bargaining Committee reported: “The Union… continue[s] to fight the company’s aggressive attempts at takebacks while working to improve your CBA... We also spent time today coming significantly closer to an agreement on notification to the Union during company investigations of our Members. Bargaining is scheduled to resume Thursday, February 4, 2021, check with your elected Officers for additional updates and upcoming mobilization activities.”

Consolidated Communications, Inc. (CLEC)

CWA’s Local 13000 Bargaining Committee signed an extension agreement with Consolidated Communications to extend the CLEC contract for one (1) year. This agreement will expire on February 28, 2022 and includes a 1.5% GWI. 

Frontier Communications - PA

CWA signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Frontier to extend the contracts that were scheduled to expire on November 30, 2020. This agreement encompasses the Frontier and Frontier CPE contracts, whose members are represented by Locals 13571, 13572 & 13573 in Pennsylvania.

LifePath

This month, the CWA Local 13500 Bargaining Committee signed a Memorandum of Agreement with LifePath to increase starting wage rates.

Psychiatric Institute of Washington, D.C.

CWA's Local 2336 Bargaining Committee agreed to extend the current contract until April 15, 2021, while the parties are in active negotiations.

Thryv PA/Potomac

The CWA joint District 1 and 2-13 Bargaining Committee announced that the membership ratified the tentative agreement with Thryv management. As previously reported, the Committee was able to defeat or mitigate Thryv’s attack on the contract and the protections it provides the members. Congratulations to the membership and Bargaining Committee! CWA Locals 13500, 2108, 2201, 2204, and 2222 represent Thryv members in District 2-13.
