District 2-13 Political Activists are Building Political Power for PA Primary
District 2-13 Political Activists from CWA Locals 13000, 13500, and 13301 are working together to build political power for CWA in the Pennsylvania Primary coming up May 21! Activists are knocking on doors, making phone calls, and talking to members at work sites to get out the vote for candidates who support CWA, labor, and worker rights in Pennsylvania. Activists met with At-Large Philadelphia City Council candidate Isaiah Thomas and Pittsburgh District 7 Councilwoman Deb Gross to talk about building power for working people in this election and beyond. Activists like Sam Pauling from Local 13500 are speaking up about why they are volunteering to elect candidates like Isaiah Thomas. "I know Isaiah will do right by our kids our families and our communities otherwise I wouldn’t be here today. I am 51 yrs old and I’ve never done this but I’ve decided to give my time to this mans campaign," Sam Pauling spoke to the crowd to kick off a canvass for Thomas last weekend. Are you ready to vote on May 21? Check out our CWA endorsements here and vote for pro- labor candidates who support you, your job, and your paycheck! You can find your polling place here and make a plan to vote on May 21 from 7AM-8PM.
