Kent County 2019 Bargaining Update: TA Reached

The CWA Local 13101 Bargaining Committee reports:

Friday evening 1/24/2020 we reached a tentative agreement with Kent County;

The CBA will be for 3 years and has enhancements to attendance awards , work attire, overtime calculation, callout pay among other items.

The agreement between CWA and Kent County is to hold a ratification vote for the CBA within 14 days, so we will schedule an explanation meeting at the plant and set up the ability to vote at the same time.

The members will be able to come into the conference room to ask questions face to face regarding the new CBA and there will be a summary explanation for review.

On Wednesday February 5th, 2020 Executive Vice President Mike Watson and President Jim Ryan will arrive at the plant at 5:30 AM in order to accommodate  the 3rd shift members and then John Petrini CWA International staff, Sandie Taylor Executive Secretary/Treasurer, Jesse Wallace Chief Steward, Ray Janson Bargaining Council member will join Mike Watson and Jim Ryan to be available from 12 Noon to 3:00 PM to accommodate the remainder of the membership shifts.

We will have ballots and a ballot box and all members are invited to witness the vote count process which will begin in the conference room at the plant at 3:15 PM or when all members have cast their ballot, whichever comes first.
