CWA/ZSSU Bargaining Update: Report #2

On Thursday, January 22, 2026, the CWA/ZSSU bargaining team reported:

Fellow CWA Members:

The Union and the Employer met for a scheduled bargaining session on January 22, 2026.

The Union was represented at the bargaining table by CWA Chair Nneka Maceo, Sarah Kearsley, Brandon Simmons, and LaTasha Carpenter. The Employer was represented by Behnaz Mansouri, Tom Pagliarulo, Jessica Harris, Lee Sagers, and Allison Kammo.

The Employer spoke first and presented counterproposals related to Recognition and Unplanned Closings & Inclement Weather. The Union asked clarifying questions and caucused to review the Employer’s counters.

During this session, the Union presented new proposals on Job Classifications and Job Progression & Internal Mobility. These proposals are intended to bring greater clarity, transparency, and consistency for bargaining unit members.

No tentative agreements were reached during this meeting. The Employer acknowledged receipt of the Union’s proposals and will review them.
The bargaining committee will be submitting available dates for consideration of February bargaining sessions. Members will be updated as additional meetings are scheduled.
