Graphic Audio First Contract Negotiations: Summary of 3/12/26

Summary of 03.12.26 Events for Mobilizing Committee
● Today was our ninth bargaining session with RB. In attendance on the Union side was Donald, Aeri, Laura, Nicolette (from GA), Tammy, Kisha, Brandon, and Lisa (from CWA). Present on the Employer side was Justin Keith (lawyer), Anji Cornette (GA VP GM), Ed Longo (RB COO), and Shana Jackson (RB VP HR).
● We began the day in caucus preparing a bargaining report to be sent to the entire bargaining unit regarding the Company’s current decision to move the last day on payroll for laid off employees to March 20th, in place of the initial proposed March 13th final date of employment. We had a few clarifying questions to ask in the first meeting to ensure that the information we passed to the unit was accurate. In this first caucus, we also reviewed our 1.1 Layoff and Recall counter proposal to present today.
● We began our first table meeting of the day with Justin stating that the Company had a response to the Union’s severance benefits proposal. Before that, Lisa took the opportunity to gain clarity on what the adjusted final end date meant to employees. That information was sent in a bargaining report to the unit soon after confirmation.
● Justin then presented the changes between their initial agreement and the current one as it pertains to the requests made in the union’s severance proposal. There was some agreement between both sides of the table on what benefits the affected employees should receive. At the time of presentation, it was difficult for the union bargaining committee to see the changes made from our initial requests so we chose to defer questions to the second table meeting after we had a chance to review the document in the next caucus. There was a better atmosphere where Justin and the Company were more open to answering our immediate questions than the last session.
● Lisa then presented our counter proposal for layoff and recall. The questions that followed were only clarifying in nature, from both sides, to request examples for the instances that some requests would apply to the bargaining unit. We also were informed that no employee should be experiencing a loss in healthcare coverage before the Separation Date of 03/20/2026 has passed. If anyone has difficulty accessing their coverage then they should email Shana and CC Kelly Randle (RB HR Business Partner) ASAP.
● We returned to caucus and took time to annotate the Employer’s counter effects agreement with any concerns and immediate clarifying questions.
● We rejoined the table meeting for the Union to present questions to the Employer. Justin’s responses were considerate of the Employer to ensure that his replies were accurate. Some differences between our proposal and their counter agreement were due to a misunderstanding from the RB lawyer for what the union was proposing.
● We returned to caucus for a final debrief of the day. We ended the day prepared to begin working on a severance counter proposal and outstanding RFI questions to present at our next layoff bargaining session.
