The CWA District 2-13 website has a new design and some menu changes to make the information our members need easier to find.
Today the Bargaining Team worked on wages and improvements to mandatory summer overtime guidelines. The Team won’t stop until they have a fair contract to deliver to the membership!
Comcast Alle-Kiske and South Hills contracts are in negotiation as the Bargaining Committees fight the company’s demands for givebacks. The contract with ITS has been extended as negotiations continue. MWAA and PIW negotiations continue.
CWA District 2-13 Vice President Ed Mooney sent a letter to the FCC urging the Commission to reject WV legislators’ ill-advised efforts to block Frontier Communications’ successful bid to receive rural broadband funding from the FCC’s Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF).
CWA and AT&T have agreed to extend two contracts covering 24,000 technicians, call center customer support workers and representatives at AT&T's retail stores in 45 states, the District of Columbia, and the Virgin Islands.
Comcast spent its negotiating time attacking the Alle-Kiske contract, while the Bargaining Committee fought to secure a better contract.
The Bargaining Committee spent much of the bargaining time combatting Comcast’s attacks on bargained-for rights. The Committee continues to promote an agenda that will improve members' working conditions.

The CWA joint District 1 and 2-13 Bargaining Committee announced that the membership ratified the tentative agreement with Thryv management. As previously reported, the Committee was able to defeat or mitigate Thryv’s attack on the contract and the protections it provides the members. Congratulations to the membership and Bargaining Committee!

CWA District 2-13 is now accepting applications from District members, as well as children and grandchildren of members, for the 2021 Maisano Labor Scholarship.
CenturyLink PA members ratified their TA this month, and the joint District 1 & 2-13 Committee reached a TA with Thryv. The Appreciation/Hero MOA with LifePath provides a bonus payment, and Comcast negotiations continue.
CWA signed a Memorandum of Agreement with LifePath for a one-time Appreciation/Hero Payment to LifePath members.
