The 14,000 workers at AT&T Midwest and AT&T Legacy T, members of the Communications Workers of America, will continue working even though their contracts have expired. The AT&T Midwest agreement expired at 11:59 pm CT on Saturday. The AT&T Legacy T contract expired at 11:59 ET on Saturday.
"The court has given the parties until Monday evening to come to an agreement on the parameters of that activity during this strike, and we will work to ensure that our members’ rights are protected."

Frontier Communications has begun hiring out-of-state workers in an attempt to maintain operations in West Virginia as a strike by 1,400 workers continues. CWA is urging customers to use caution if they encounter someone repairing telephone lines or equipment or responding to a service call. Earlier today, WV State Police detained an armed temporary Frontier worker who threatened a striker in Flatwoods, WV.

After ten months of negotiations, members of the Communications Workers of America have not been able to reach agreement on a fair contract with Frontier Communications. As a result, 1,400 Frontier Communications workers in West Virginia and in Ashburn, VA went on strike at 12:01 am on Sunday, March 4.

Representatives of Frontier Communications workers throughout West Virginia and in Ashburn, Va. announced that they are prepared to strike if substantial progress is not made on contract negotiations before the current contract expires at midnight on Saturday, March 3.

Thousands of Communications Workers of America (CWA)-represented passenger service agents at American Airlines subsidiary Piedmont Airlines won major raises, improved benefits and other gains in a new tentative contract agreement reached Friday.

AT&T wireless workers approved a precedent-setting contract that rolls back offshoring and outsourcing and sets a new standard for wireless retail and call center jobs in America. The contract covers over 21,000 workers in 36 states. CWA members approved the four-year contract by an overwhelming majority; it remains in effect until February 12, 2021.

Following discussions with AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson, CWA President Chris Shelton reported that CWA represented workers at AT&T will receive a $1,000 bonus.
