Sprint?s opposition to the proposed AT&T/T-Mobile merger has been revealed to be nothing more than a classic bait-and-switch ? with the Sprint CEO saying out of one side of his mouth the merger would hurt consumers ? while talking out the other about buying T-Mobile for itself.
Events in Oakland, Maine last week focused attention on the dramatic downsizing of jobs at T-Mobile U.S.A. call centers across the country. These job losses come at the wrong time for American workers in these tough economic times.

In today?s sinking economy, where millions of Americans are looking for work, the DOJ has filed suit to block a merger that will create as many as 96,000 quality jobs. In the U.S., where too many Americans, especially in rural areas, don?t have access to the tools of Internet technology, the DOJ is looking to block a plan to build out high speed wireless access to 97 percent of the country should be opposed.
