Verizon Bargaining 2011: Report # 43
Both the Mid-Atlantic and the North Regional Bargaining Committees met separately with the company today and each presented a comprehensive list of proposals that addresses concerns surrounding healthcare, absence, call sharing and sales compensation. Our proposals also included the union’s demands surrounding good union jobs and the return of work back to the bargaining units. The company asked several questions regarding this proposal and is currently evaluating the proposal while our bargaining team awaits their response.
This is the first proposal to go across the table since returning from the work stoppage and it is the union’s expectation that this proposal will help expedite the bargaining process and help us reach a successful agreement.
