Political Action
Virtually every day Congress and state legislatures make decisions that vitally affect us – regarding telecommunications policy, taxes, social security, safety and health, workers compensation, pensions, our children's schools. The list is endless.
That is why CWA members of District 2-13 are involved at every level in the democratic process. We work to elect candidates who represent the concerns of CWA members and workers in general. We communicate our views to elected officials. Most important of all, we work to educate our members on the important political issues and encourage them to register and vote. Working together, CWA members are on the job, working to improve conditions not only for ourselves and our families but for all working people.
CWA Political Action Fund (formerly known as COPE) is the political action committee for the working men and women of CWA, their families and retirees. CWA-COPE informs and mobilizes union families to encourage their participation in the political process. Through their political action committee, CWA men and women express their voice in politics and policy issues that affect their lives.
