CWA/DE State 911 Dispatchers Bargaining Report #3
The CWA bargaining committee met with the State on Monday, June 13 and passed several proposals with economic and heath/safety being prime topics for discussion. There were proposals addressing schedule posting, vacation, sick leave and improvement to the state of emergency language in 20.7 of the CBA.
The State responded with concerns about cost associated with the proposals and how CWA represented members already have better provisions than other State employees.
The State and Union engaged in off table discussions in an effort to accelerate the process in order to reach a mutually acceptable agreement by the CBA end date.
The next scheduled meetings are set for 6/27 in Newark and 6/28 in Dover.
