AT&T National Day of Action
On Saturday, December 11, CWAers across the nation spread the word at AT&T third party dealer stores to inform customers about the advantages of shopping at company-owned, union-staffed stores. AT&T has closed of hundreds of union-staffed retail stores, which have often been replaced by non-union “authorized retailers.”
In October, CWA Convention Delegates approved a resolution calling for this day of action to raise national awareness about AT&T’s outsourcing, job cuts, and union-busting.
CWA District 2-13 members joined the fight to protect union jobs.
CWA Local 2009 members in Huntington, WV took part and informed AT&T customers how to support and find union-staffed retailers.

CWA Local 2204 sent the message to AT&T to put people over profits. Over the past two years, AT&T has boosted profits by pushing customers to third party dealers. AT&T has closed or converted over 650 corporate-operated, union staffed stores, cutting good, union retail jobs in our communities, including stores in southwest Virginia.
This holiday season, remember that not all AT&T stores are alike. Be sure to visit union-staffed retailers near you using this store locator.
