Virginia Call Center Members Join CWA Boot Camp

CWA District 2-13 was able to bring in members from around Virginia on July 10 and 11 to participate in Call Center Boot Camp. The members came from multiple Locals and included workers from Verizon, AT&T Mobility and American Airlines.

The purpose of the boot camp was to train activists on the importance of organizing and mobilizing our workforce, as well as to provide them the skills and knowledge to engage and activate the members in their workplaces.

CWA is encouraging activists to create actionable plans to help elect pro-labor legislators and to pass worker-friendly legislation, like Call Center bills on the State and Federal level. This event was hosted at CWA Local 2201's hall in Richmond, VA.
