CWA-AT&T MOBILITY BARGAINING REPORT #11
Bargaining resumed today and for the first time since bargaining started back on January 22, 2013, a tentative agreement was reached on one (1) section of Article 19-Basis of Compensation specific to Market to Market transfers. It’s a small step, but at least we got one.
The Company rejected the Union’s proposal on Article 22-Vacation which was seeking to add additional vacation time and expand the carry-over. They also rejected the Union’s proposal on Article 21-Absences where the Union requested to improve the language on immediate family and add provisions for voting time and paternity time. The Company stated what you get today in both of these Articles is good and extremely generous.
The Company also passed yet another proposal on Article 21-Absences with a new twist on what they believe will correct their attendance issue. Instead of addressing the horrendous working conditions that we believe are contributing to their attendance issues, the Company is spinning their wheels on writing proposal after proposal to take your paid sick time away.
The second Town Hall Call is scheduled for Sunday February 3, 2013 beginning at 8pm ET, 7pm CT, 6pm MT and 5pm PT. Additional details will be discussed then.
Bargaining resumes Sunday, February 3, 2013.
