Bargaining Report #6: Frontier Communications
The Union and the Company met today. The Company gave presentations on their proposals for Incidental Absence, Short Term Disability, and Long Term Disability. The Bargaining Committee will review these proposals and we will meet tomorrow.
To date, all of the proposals from the Company have been concessionary in nature by cutting our benefits, wages, and job opportunities. Yesterday the Company proposed to add employee contributions, vastly increase co-pays, and increase out of pocket maximums for Medical, Vision, and Dental. The Company is trying to rewrite the contract, reducing much of our hard fought language to nothing.
Now is the time to stand up and fight back! We need everyone to get involved. No one can afford the luxury of sitting back and waiting for someone else to take the fight to management. We have to be in the streets and in their face every day letting them know this is a fight they cannot win.
The Bargaining Committee wants to recognize Local 2004 for being in the street and sending their message with their multiple gate rallies.
SOLIDARITY FOREVER!
