Bargaining Report #16: Frontier Communications
The Union and the Company met today.
The Union provided specific language for the modification of Article 23. This language is to change the forced relocation language to 35 miles from an employee’s reporting location. The amount of reimbursement for relocation costs are proposed to be made more current. The Union made additional proposals for the Company to provide a boot allowance and Union Recognition.
The Company and the Union discussed the Unfair Labor Practice charge the Union filed on Monday. The Company proposed a settlement and the the Union is reviewing the proposal.
Great job on the mobilization activities. Members in Locals 2004 and 2105 are stepping it up. Remember tomorrow is a “WHITE OUT” on corporate greed and Saturday is the Fighting For Our Future Rally. The Bargaining Committee wants to remind everyone that if you are not at the rally then you shouldn’t be volunteering for overtime on Saturday. Don’t make your Union Brothers and Sisters carry your load. Come out and show Frontier that we are unified and committed to getting a good contract.
