Alcatel-Lucent 2014 Bargaining Report #10

The teams met today. We reviewed an information request we had made to the company concerning the amount of sub-contracting in each state. We have informed the company that there is no possibility we can seriously respond to their “Workforce Transformation” proposal without a lot more detail about what their plan is - that would be like signing an empty piece of paper and saying it is OK for the Company to fill in the blanks later. That’s not going to happen. With less than a week until expiration we expect more than this. They have still not given us any responses on the proposals the Union made to improve the contract. They cannot expect that we will settle this contract without some of OUR issues being addressed.
