CWA/VZED Bargaining Report #23

Today the CWA Bargaining Committee met with Verizon Select Services Inc. as a follow up to the bargaining session that took place on November 25, 2014. Today’s meeting began with the union asking a series of questions that were a direct result of the proposal that the company submitted at the November meeting. The company provided answers to today’s questions but not all of the questions were answered. The Union’s position is that our goal is to reach a settlement that is fair for our members. The company has been reluctant to move on many of the key issues, and as of today, there are still no tentative agreements on any of the Articles. The Union provided another fair proposal to the company today in an effort to reach a settlement. The session broke with the company in receipt of the proposal, and bargaining will resume in January.
