American Airlines: February 2015 Bargaining Update
Your CWA/IBT Association Bargaining Committee met in Charlotte on February 17, 18 and 19, 2015.
On Tuesday, February 17th the Company passed the Committee a response to Article 10, regarding Temporary Employees, and Article 11, regarding Seasonal Employee Transfer.The Committee gave the Company a proposal on Article 5, regarding Hours of Service. The Committee spent the rest of the day going over the Company’s Proposals and worked on responses.
On Wednesday, February 18th we met with the Company and received counter proposals on Article 25, regarding Grievance Procedures and Article 26, regarding System Board of Arbitration. The Committee continued to discuss counter proposals for the Company.
On Thursday, February 19th, we met with the Company and gave them counter proposals on Article 26, regarding System Board of Arbitration and Article 25, regarding Grievance Procedure. The Company returned to the table and accepted our proposals. We were able to reach Tentative Agreements on both of those articles.
We have reached 11 Tentative Agreements on contract articles and one Agreement on the Preferential Hiring and Interim Grievance Procedure.
We ended the session working as a committee on other proposals. Our next scheduled bargaining session is in Dallas the week of March 9th.
