American Airlines Agents: April 23rd Bargaining Update
Your CWA/IBT Association Bargaining Committee met in Orange County, California, on April 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. You’ll find details of each session below, and specifics about the status of each article in a downloadable PDF: Bargaining Status Chart
On Tuesday, April 21st, the Company passed Article 6, Overtime, and Article 7, Reservations Overtime. The Union reviewed their proposals and continued to work on counter proposals.
On Wednesday, April 22nd, we met with the Company and gave them proposals on Article 29, Training, Travel Pay, and Meal Per Diem and Article 31, Part-Time Employees. The Company gave us a counter proposal on Article 23, Uniforms. We returned in the afternoon and were able to reach a tentative agreement on Article 23, Uniforms.
We are progressing well in our negotiations, and we currently have reached 19 Tentative Agreements. We ended Wednesday working on proposals to give to the Company.
On Thursday, April 23rd, we met with the Company and gave the representatives a proposal on Article 18, Sick Leave. The Company gave us a counter proposal on Article 29, Training, Travel Pay, and Meal Per Diem. We ended our session discussing counter proposals to present to the Company in our next session.
Our next session is scheduled for the week of May 4th.
