Verizon Local 13000 Bargaining Report # 4

Today your Local Bargaining Team and the Company met to discuss the various proposals submitted the previous week. The Union had more questions and submitted information requests regarding every title and work location of every member involuntarily separated from the payroll since our last contract, how often the “Central Area Line Agreement” has been triggered, what functions outside contractors are used for regarding OPT work and how many hours on average are worked in each operating area by quarter since 2010.

The company provided very limited information regarding our previous information requests and the Union informed the Company that we are still waiting for all the information in order to clearly address their proposals. Bargaining is set to resume tomorrow.

This contract is about more than just standard of living, it’s about quality of life as well.
