Verizon Local 13000 Bargaining Report # 9
Today the Local Bargaining Team met with the Company and provided them with proposals improving current practices in work time scheduling. The intent of these improvements is to provide the employees with an increased ability to manage work/life and to ensure that seniority is honored. It will also hold the Company accountable for way tours are scheduled. We rejected the Company’s proposal to do away with these rights and also made it clear that the Union is not interested in any proposals which will increase contracting and take any work out of the bargaining unit and rejected the balance of the company’s outstanding proposals.
We are twelve days away from the expiration of the contract. The bargaining team needs everyone involved at all work centers to let management know that we are united and ready to fight for fair working conditions. Sign up for the rally in NY on Saturday July 25th and STAND UNITED! STAY MOBILIZED!
