CWA-PIW Bargaining Report 02

The Union and the Company met on Thursday, October 6, 2016 for a one day bargaining session. The two sides agreed to extend the contract 60 days to allow each side to continue negotiations. In the morning session the negotiating teams reviewed the information that was requested by CWA.  During the afternoon session the negotiating teams discussed various proposals presented by the Company.  Although there is still much to be discussed, it was a productive session, and both sides are scheduled to meet again on Wednesday, October 26th, and Thursday, October 27th. CWA asks that all members please get involved in the mobilization effort by wearing your red “Stronger Together” wristbands and making sure your fellow “Brothers and Sisters” are aware that we are in bargaining and what our issues are. By standing together we will show the Company that we are serious about negotiations and gaining a fair contract.
