CCI CLEC 2018 Bargaining: Report 1

Bargaining between the Union and the Company began today, Wednesday, February 7, 2018. After today's opening statements talks moved on to issues that are important to the Membership. The first Company proposals centered on health care, performance appraisals and job bids. The Union team presented proposals that would improve discipline language, layoff and recall allowance, military leave, lodging, travel reimbursement and wage schedules. Discussions also took place over the performance bonus and the possibility of adding a Senior Network Technician title to the group.

Talks will resume tomorrow, Thursday, February 8, 2018. Today ended with many questions needing answered and more proposals that still need to be introduced. This was just the first step in the fight to bargain a fair contract for you, the Membership. We are committed to work towards achieving a contract that is fair for our Members.
