CCI CLEC 2018 Bargaining: Report 4
The Union met with the Company today, Monday, February 12, 2018 to continue bargaining. While the Union team continues to push your agenda with our proposals and information demands, the Company still has shown little to no interest in answering our requests in a timely fashion. The clock continues to count down to contract expiration and we are still a long way from a fair agreement.
Discussions today focused on Union proposals related to additional personal days, meal and show allowances, the introduction of training differentials, on call pay increases, increases to the performance bonus, and our first wage proposal. The Company only brought a discussion item on the Senior Network Tech proposal and a proposal on the setting of performance standards for future new hires.
We are slowly getting closer to agreements in some of these areas. Currently, we are waiting for responses on more than ten proposals and information demands. These talks have begun to reveal that the Company really isn't in any hurry to do anything beneficial for the Membership. We will push the Company to increase the pace of these slow moving talks when we come back to the table on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. We are resolved to do everything in our power to get a new contract before expiration but the clock is ticking... Each of you needs to get involved now to send a message to the Company that you want a fair contract and you want it now! Ask your Unit President what you can do to be more involved.
THE COMPANY WANTS TO TAKE CARE OF YOU WITHOUT ADDING COST TO THE CONTRACT!!!
BE PART OF THE SOLUTION!!!
