CWA Endorses Tom Perez For Governor of Maryland

CWA is proud to endorse Tom Perez for Governor of Maryland and Shannon Sneed for Lieutenant Governor in the Democratic Primary.

 Tom and Shannon know how to get stuff done for workers! Tom has long been an ally to CWA.

As US Secretary of Labor, Tom helped us resolve our 2016 labor dispute with Verizon by working with the leadership of CWA and Verizon to bring our 45-day strike to end. Our members won big wage increases, protections from overtime, job security protections, and other improvements in benefits.Verizon also agreed to create new union jobs.

As Maryland Secretary of Labor, Tom enacted the first living wage law in Maryland. He fought wage theft and protected Maryland homeowners during the 2008 financial crisis.

We know as Governor Tom will keep up the fight to make sure working families are treated with the respect and dignity we deserve.
