CWA/ZeniMax QA Effects Bargaining Update: Aug. 6

Today Bargaining Committee members from BGS, CS/UR, CTO, id, and ZOS met with the representatives of Microsoft in a Core Bargaining session to further discuss the effects of these illegal layoffs.

No studio leadership was present at this session. The Employer’s bargaining committee has been reduced to three people - two lawyers and the senior vice president of ZMI Global HR. As far as we understand, studio leadership will not be in Effects Bargaining going forward.

We presented a comprehensive counter solely to handle the effects for impacted employees, bearing in mind the difficult job market many of our union coworkers now face as well as the feedback we have been receiving from members. After we presented our proposal, the company countered with significant cuts by the end of the session. We are working on our response to present to the company next week.

Our next bargaining date is Aug 12th, and you can expect a bargaining update from us then.
