American Airlines: March 2015 Bargaining Update
Your CWA/IBT Association Bargaining Committee met in Dallas on March 10, 11 and 12.
On Tuesday, March 10th, the Union passed Article 4, Classifications. This article deals with all of the work done by each group at both American and US Airways. We ended the day working on additional proposals.
On Wednesday, March 11th, we met with the Company and offered proposals on Article 12, Reductions in Force; Article 13, Voluntary Furloughs; Article 14, Recall; and Article 15, Furlough Benefits. The Company responded to Article 8, Seniority. We returned in the evening and received a counter proposal from the Company regarding Article 13, Voluntary Furlough; Article 14, Recall; and Article 15, Furlough Benefits. We ended Wednesday by giving the Company proposals on Article 6, Overtime, and Article 7, Reservations Overtime.
On Thursday, March 12th, we met with the Company and received a proposal on Article 12, Reductions in Force. We continued to work on counter proposals with the Committee for the rest of the day.
Our next scheduled bargaining session is in Dallas the week of March 16th.
