AT&T Retirees: Medicare Retiree Health Exchange Project

AT& T is preparing to send another mailing to retirees next week. Draft versions of the mailing are attached. There are two important developments to note:

1. Aon Hewitt has been chosen as the vendor for the exchange.

2. The company will establish a Health Reimbursement Account for Medicare retirees. The account may be used to offset costs for coverage in the Aon Hewitt exchange only.

AT& T has not yet determined how much it will contribute to the HRA, but its goal is to keep the 2015 costs as close as possible to the 2014 costs.

More information about the plans available in the exchange and the HRA will be forthcoming in April. Information about the amount of the HRA contributions will not be available until sometime after June.
