Bargaining Report #31: Frontier Communications

The Union and the Company met today.

The Company presented proposals addressing the Exhibits in the back of the contract book, reducing payout to the Income Security Plan (ISP) and the Enhanced Income Security Plan (EISP), and modifying the Broadband Network Employment Security Provision by increasing the use of contractors.

Since July 24, 2013, the Union has had our members bargaining demands on the table. We continue to hold fast to the issues that you expressed were most important. Some of those issues are as follows:

• One Contract for WV

• Increase Job Commitments

• Expand and Improve Job Security

• Eliminate the Use of Subcontractors

• Eliminate the Transfer of Work Out of WV

• Quality Affordable Health Care

• Make Pension Cash Out Permanent

• Fully Funded Pension Plan

The Bargaining Committee is committed to work diligently to achieve the best contract possible, but we need your help. The contract extension expires on October 12, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. Now is the TIME to let Frontier know that we want a contract. A contract that maintains our standard of living, secures our future, and provides for our families. Contact your Local Mobilizer to find out what you can do today!
