Bargaining Report #41: Frontier Communications

Bargaining resumed this week. The Union and the Company Bargaining Chairpersons met off-table on Tuesday and Wednesday. Today the formal Committees met and discussed disability pay and incidental absences.

The Union Bargaining Committee now looks forward to this process continuing with both sides evaluating and countering proposals. We continue to hold fast to the issues that you expressed were most important. Some of those issues are as follows:

• One Contract for WV

• Increase Job Commitments

• Expand and Improve Job Security

• Eliminate the Use of Subcontractors

• Eliminate the Transfer of Work Out of WV

• Maintain Quality Affordable Health Care

• Make Pension Cash Out Permanent

• Fully Funded Pension Plan

The Union’s strength and your Bargaining Committee’s ability to bargain a fair agreement comes from the support and solidarity of our members. Each member is instrumental in achieving a contract. Your actions impact how bargaining progresses and what this contract will look like in the end.

Bargaining has recessed until October 28, 2013.
