Bargaining Report #42: Frontier Communications
The Union and the Company met today.
During the meeting the Bargaining Committees agreed to renew 18 of the Letters of Understanding that are in the current contract. The Company then responded to the 45 Union Proposals that were passed in July. They rejected 26.
This is the first time the Company has responded directly to our members’ issues. The Company is attacking our standard of living by rejecting every Union proposal focusing on Job Security, Healthcare and Pensions. The Union Bargaining Committee will be preparing responses to the Company’s rejections as well as addressing the Company’s proposals.
The Bargaining Committee remains dedicated to the goals our members have indicated are important to them and stresses the importance of the continued commitment and engagement of the membership.
BE INFORMED! BE INVOLVED! IT’S YOUR FIGHT! IT’S YOUR CONTRACT!
