Bargaining Report #44: Frontier Communications
The Union and the Company met today.
The Union provided counter proposals on Business Attire and several Letters of Understanding, including Sales Prorate Commitment, Stress Relief Committee, and Technological Change. The Company countered the Union’s proposal on updating the grievance procedure.
On Tuesday, Frontier issued their third quarter earnings reporting that they had met their expectations. Frontier posted solid results and made money. Remember, it is you who make Frontier successful. The Company maintains that all of the cuts, take-backs and sacrifices they are requesting in bargaining are necessary for, in part, consistency. They repeatedly state no other contract has the level of benefits. Frontier wants every member to sacrifice so they can have even better results and make even more profits. What are the executives sacrificing? At the end of the day, without our members there would be no Frontier.
