Bargaining Report #9: Frontier Communications

The Union and the Company met today. The Company provided responses to the Union’s information request on contractors. The Company passed proposals on a work at home provision and an employee discount.

The Union asked clarifying questions on the Company’s Health Care proposal and requested additional data. The Union passed four additional proposals focusing on Job Security. We proposed to expand the job security language in the 2003 Memorandum of Agreement and the 2010 Memorandum of Agreement; to eliminate term and temp language; to provide our members protection against job loss from technological changes; and for the company to establish a training curriculm to better position our members for future jobs.

The Bargaining Committee wants to commend the members and their mobilizers in Locals 2001, 2006, and 2009 for having rapid response activity today when they found out that the Collections Center Director was going to be visiting their offices. Thanks to all the members who participated on the TOWN HALL CALL tonight. Keep up the good work and remember the following dates.
