Brightspeed PA 2023 Bargaining: Report 1

On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, the CWA Local 13000 Bargaining Committee reported:

The Union Bargaining Committee has engaged with the Company in several bargaining sessions over the last three days, October 23, 24 and 25, 2023 in Butler, PA. We have presented a number of proposals, based on your survey responses and Membership concerns with the company. We have made progress in a number of areas including Holidays, Standby Pay, Tour Differential, Layoff Allowance, Scheduling and more. The company has also passed proposals that would affect your bargained for rights. As bargaining concluded today, we have been able to protect the provisions of your contract.

Bargaining a contract is never easy and we appreciate your support as we work through this challenging process. Feel free to contact your Unit President or Branch Rep to get more details about progress at the bargaining table. We won’t stop until we have a fair Agreement to present to you for ratification.

Stay tuned for additional updates.

In Unity,
Union Bargaining Committee
