CCI ILEC 2017 Bargaining: Report 3

Talks between the Union Committee and the Company were productive on a number of topics today, Thursday, August 24, 2017 in Gibsonia, PA. Today's talks brought greater understanding on grievance procedure, lay-off language, apparel allowance, bidding process, transfer process, group long term disability, and bulletin boards. The Company backed off its demand to control what information is placed on our bulletin boards.

Talks are in recess until next week. We are scheduled to meet again Tuesday, August 29, 2017. The Company still owes many responses to proposals, counter proposals and information we have requested that is necessary to make decisions as bargaining continues. Remember to ask your Rep what you can do to get involved and participate in the fight for a fair contract. Stay tuned for information on mobilization activities...
