CCI ILEC 2020 Bargaining Report 4
The CWA Local 13000 Bargaining Committee reports:
We met with the company by conference call a number of times over the past 2 days. We have made progress on issues including better training language, bereavement leave and apparel allowance. These issues are all pieces of the big picture – a contract that is fair for the Membership. We are still far apart on many other proposals including wages and continue to fight company proposals that could have negative impact on your work life/home life balance.
This fight is far from over and we need everyone to stay united as we continue working towards a contract we can present to you. We will continue working to prepare proposals that will benefit you during the time leading to our next bargaining sessions beginning September 16. The committee will also continue to create strategies that will allow us to fight back against the company’s proposals which still seek substantial givebacks.
In Unity,
Your Bargaining Committee
