CCI (ILEC) Bargaining Report: April 3, 2012
On Tuesday morning, 04/03/12, the Union and Company Bargaining Committees reconvened to continue the contract negotiations.
Previously proposed by the Union, a Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service (FMCS) Commissioner was present to assist both parties.
The Union presented a comprehensive proposal addressing the areas of health care, pension, 401(k), wages, and the contract duration.
The Company gave an indication they’re willing to move on some issues; however there are still major, concession demands on the table.
Before adjourning for the day, the parties agreed to reconvene and resume the contract negotiations on Wednesday morning, 04/04/12.
The Union Bargaining Committee appreciates the continued support of the membership, as it works to achieve a TA that it can recommend.
