Climate Reality Bargaining Report # 16

On May 21, 2025, the CWA/Climate Reality Bargaining Committee reported:

The Union and the Employer met today.  The Union agreed to Climate Reality’s proposed early closure date for this Friday, May 23rd and gave approval for the upcoming July 3rd and August 29th dates to also have early closure paid time off beginning at 1:00 p.m.

The Union presented a proposal on Personal Leave.  While not a widely used leave benefit, the Union is looking to secure all leave options as part of our first contract. The Union also drilled down on questions related to a request for information on the updated salary bands and salary levels. We are preparing to pass economic proposals beyond leave time and other paid time off , like wages, and are gathering all necessary information to support our proposal.

The Union ended their presentation questioning Climate Reality further on Pregnancy Leave. Climate Reality had no counters for us today.  We are still waiting for their response to our counter on Remote Work. 

We continue to use members’ input to inform our proposals and counters. Please plan to join us at our next union member call on Thursday, June 26 at 7:30 pm. This will be another chance to hear more detailed updates on bargaining.  Our next bargaining session is scheduled for June 3, 2025
