Climate Reality Bargaining Report # 18

On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, the CWA Local 2336 Bargaining Committee shared the following report from Climate Reality negotiations:

The Union and the Employer met today.  The Union presented 3 economic proposals on wages, salary bands and Cost of Living (COLA). The topics of these proposals have consistently been ranked as one of the top priorities for the bargaining unit.  In our introduction to the wage proposal, the bargaining committee compelled Climate Reality to practice the values they advocate for their clients externally-equity; justice and sustainability.  Emphasizing that sustainability includes social and economic sustainability not just environmental.  Climate Reality had a few questions for the committee and committed to reviewing the proposals.

Climate Reality presented a counter to the Unions Personal Leave proposal. The Union will review their changes and respond in a future session.

We are closer to securing the first contract.  What remains are a few economic proposals.  We need everyone invested in mobilization activities to convey to Climate Reality you are supporting your bargaining committee and the improvements we are trying to make.  Dates have been submitted to Climate Reality for future bargaining dates.  Once confirmed, we will keep you updated.

Your CWA Bargaining Team,

Ella Carlson; Cate Henning; Alejandro Sobrera Barboza; Sofia Cangiano (Local 2336); Lisa Fazzini and Ethan Spaner.
