Comcast Alle-Kiske Bargaining Report #12

After a lengthy break due to scheduling conflicts the Union Bargaining Committee met with the Company today, Tuesday, July 11, 2017. talks in today's session focused on working towards a wage package that would be fair to you the worker. Very little progress was made and even after the time away from the bargaining table the Company showed little interest in working towards a middle ground on wages that are fair to all. The Company passed no new proposals during this session and had no answers on open requests for information, our shift differential proposal, our Holiday proposal, On Call/Standby and others. The Union Team will continue to fight for a contract that is fair to all Members and continues to ask for your help through mobilization, tailgate, and any other acitivities and actions your Reps and Stewards alert you to.

Due to this round of bargaining progressing so slowly you continued involvement in mobilization and other activities will be a key to getting a fair contract. Look for frequent bargaining updates and continue to talk about the key issues. As you now know, the membership voted overwhelmingly to support a Strike if it becomes necessary to call one. This is a strong bargaining tool that has received Comcast's attention. Continue to let management know that these negotiations are taking too long and we want and deserve a fair contract now. Continue to send your message to the Company through mobilization activities so Comcast knows that you are still in the fight and won't stop until a fair contract is reached.

If you haven't already done so, please submit your strike relief form to the Union office ASAP!!!
