Comcast Alle-Kiske Bargaining Report #6

The Union Bargaining Team met with the Company again today, May 18, 2017. There were additional discussions on adding a Wage Progression Scale and salary increases that are fair for each Member. We have been bargaining for 3 weeks and are still far apart on many issues. The Company has yet to respond to the Union proposals on wage, on call, stand by, and shift differential proposals we made last week and has yet to make its initial economic proposal.

The contract expires at Midnight on Monday, May 22, 2017. The Company has expressed a desire to come to an agreement on time. We are disheartened by the lack of progress from the Company side of the table. The Company has shown no urgency the last two days while this team is still working and waiting on the Company for requested information and proposals that haven't been answered. Talks with the Company team broke off today with your bargaining team still fighting to get you a fair contract.

Talks are scheduled to resume, Thursday and Friday, May 25 and 26, 2017. We have signed an agreement to extend your current contract while negotiations continue. You will lose no rights, no benefits, or any protections you currently receive and are entitled to. You deserve a fair contract and we will continue to fight for your issues.

This is the time to send a message to the Company that you are the reason that it is so successful! Stay involved! Your Branch Rep or Steward will be bringing mobilization info and bargaining updates. Your tailgate was noticed! Keep up the job actions and continue to be involved in this fight for a fair contract. A special thanks to all that have taken time to come to bargaining to sit in and listen and be here physically supporting the team. The Union team appreciates your support and efforts!

STAND STRONG!!!

STAY UNITED!!!
