Consolidated Communications, Inc. Bargaining 2011: September 26, 2011
We are preparing for our last week of bargaining. This past week, the Company showed their true intention and they are nothing but drastic give-backs in health care and the Company’s demand to freeze your pension thus eliminating any change of realistic retirement.
There are still major issues the Company will propose to the Union this week but we are certain these proposals will have a bad impact on post retirement benefits.
This morning your solidarity and dedication was very evident but this must be increased. Every member needs to be in red and practice picketing a half hour before and a half hour after each shift. Consolidated must see that we are ready to take whatever measures necessary to gain a fair contract.
