CWA - CenturyLink Bargaining 2011: Final Report
Members of Local 13000/Unit 101, employed by CenturyLink, (formerly Embarq Pennsylvania), ratified the Tentative Agreement reached on Tuesday, 11/01/11, and explained in detail at a Membership Meeting held on Wednesday, 11/16/11.
Ratification ballots mailed to the membership on Tuesday, 11/15/11, were to be in the Western Region’s PO Box by Wednesday, 11/30/11, to be counted by the Local 13000 Election Committee, who then certified the majority had voted Yes.
It’s imperative members familiarize themselves with each of the provisions in the new, 3-year contract in order to safeguard their negotiated benefits and rights, as well as to apprize the Unit Council if they suspect the Company’s violating them.
Members of the Bargaining Committee appreciated the membership’ initial input and ongoing support throughout these particularly, difficult contract negotiations.
