Today on Capitol Hill, women from all walks of life blocked traffic and chanted "Si, se puede!" in support of an immigration bill that includes a pathway to citizenship. Our family immigration system has been the primary way that women can get legal entry to the United States and yet currently 4.5 million people wait in the backlog to be reunited with their families. Police arrest a UFCW member in a civil disobedience demonstration on Capitol Hill. CWAers supported the more than 100 women who joined together in the sit-down protest for comprehensive immigration reform today.
